Engineering
The Engineering Department plans and supervises construction of a wide variety of municipal public infrastructure projects within the City. The department provides information to developers, contractors, consultants, other city departments, and the general public in support of a range of development and construction projects.
As the city's planning agency, it also administers the city's comprehensive plan, supports its Plan Commission, and is responsible for a range of ancillary services, such as site drainage plan reviews, traffic studies, construction site erosion control plans, and similar functions. The department also manages city mapping, facility records, and related information.
